High-Level Technological Services (STAN)
High-Performance Numerical Computing Service
This service involves the use of the high-performance computing (HPC) capacity installed at IFLYSIB for academic and/or technological purposes. The computing cluster is a member of the National High-Performance Computing System (SNCAD) and consists of processors managed by HTCondor and Slurm workload managers. Currently, it supports programs compiled with GCC (GNU Compiler Collection), including Fortran, C, and C++.
Measurement of Dielectric and Thermal Properties in Biological Materials
We perform dielectric property measurements at low (up to 13 MHz) and high frequencies (up to 1.3 GHz) on small samples (less than 1 cm³), both liquid and solid. Tests can be conducted non-destructively and non-invasively. Measurements are performed under controlled temperatures (between 5°C and 90°C). Regarding thermal properties, we measure thermal conductivity and perfusion in small samples (1 cm³). The measurement is minimally invasive, with the possibility of in vivo testing.
Vacuum Service and Final Pressure Measurement
This service provides vacuum evacuation below the order of 10−4 mbar using mechanical and turbomolecular pumps in series. It is designed for volumes under 10 liters and allows for the determination of the final reached pressure, including the detection of small leaks in the evacuated volume. This service is aimed at both private companies and public organizations.
Consultancy for the Development and Implementation of Communication and Education Resources on Chagas Disease
Technical assistance and consultancy to carry out outreach and awareness-raising actions regarding the Chagas disease problem.
Analysis of Computational Simulations
We transform your designs into key information to optimize processes. Based on the models provided, we perform 2D and 3D simulations that allow for:
- Evaluation of particle flow under different operating conditions.
- Detection and anticipation of potential clogging.
- Identification of areas with the highest concentration of contact forces.
- Visualization of velocity profiles in different regions.
Our studies provide concrete data to improve efficiency, reduce risks, and make decisions backed by scientific evidence.
Target sectors: Agribusiness, pharmaceutical, automotive, mining, and others related to granular material handling, traffic, or pedestrians.
